Google has deployed one of the largest network infrastructures worldwide connecting tens of data centers to billions of users worldwide with a large diversity of workloads (e.g. youtube, search, maps, photos, mobile). In many cases, Google had to create and implement new technologies to deploy and manage its network as there was no other infrastructure with such a scale in industry. This explains why GOOGLE has pioneered many technologies, as with e.g. Data Center architecture, SDN networks, and computing models. We present the GOOGLE network infrastructure, how it was designed and why. We identify  some research challenges  for our data centers and networks.
