We are thrilled to welcome Paul Mockapetris, the visionary inventor of the Domain Name System (DNS). The DNS, a cornerstone of the modern internet, enables billions of people—and their devices—to connect seamlessly every day. With millions of servers and tens of billions of domain names, this system is a vital part of our digital world.

During this session, Paul will reflect on the origins of the DNS, sharing how it all began and the design decisions and challenges faced along the way. He will also explore the future of the DNS, offering unique insights into how this foundational technology will continue to evolve.
