Prof. Michele Zorzi

Michele Zorzi was born in 1966, and has been a Professor of Telecommunications at the School of Engineering of the University of Padova since 2003. He received the Laurea Degree and the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Padova, Italy, in 1990 and 1994, respectively. Prior to his current appointment, he was a faculty member at the Politecnico di Milano (1993-1996), a Research Scientist at the Center for Wireless Communications, University of California at San Diego (1995-1998), and an Associate Professor (1998-2000) and then Professor (2000-2003) at the University of Ferrara. He has many international contacts and collaborations, and has been PI or co-PI of numerous research projects, both in Europe and in the US, as well as more than 20 other projects funded by different funding agencies and industrial companies.
Dr. Filippo Campagnaro

Filippo Campagnaro (assistant professor in telecommunication engineering, co-founder) has been working in underwater networks since 2014, joint more than 15 sea trials and developed several research and industrial prototypes. In 2021 he started working on wireless sensors for studying climate change in coastal areas.
Prof. Milica Stojanovic

Milica Stojanovic is a Professor of Electrical Engineering in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Northeastern University. She is also a permanent Guest Investigator at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI).
Professor Stojanovic graduated from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, in 1988, and received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, in 1991 and 1993. Upon graduation, she was awarded a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and subsequently a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Research Scholarship. Professor Stojanovic spent a considerable part of her research career as a Principal Scientist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where she also served as an Associate Director for Research at the MIT Sea Grant College Program. A Distinguished Visitor Award took her to the University of Padova, Italy, where she taught for a semester during 2006. In 2008, Professor Stojanovic joined the faculty of Northeastern University.
Professor Stojanovic’s research interests include digital communications theory, statistical signal processing and wireless networks, and their applications to underwater acoustic systems. Her teaching career spans over twenty years, with traditional as well as newly-developed courses in these areas. She has made pioneering contributions to underwater acoustic communications, and her work has been widely cited.

He received his secondary education degree from the Liceo Classico Massimo d’Azeglio of Torino in 1969.
He received a Master Degree in Electronic Engineering from the Politecnico di Torino in 1974 and a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 1978.
From 1974 to 1987 he was teaching and doing research at the Dipartimento di Elettronica e Telecomunicazioni of the Politecnico di Torino, first as a researcher and then as an associate professor.
In 1987 he was appointed Full Professor of Computer Science at the Computer Science Department of the University of Milan. From 1990 to 2021 he has been a Full Professor of Telecommunications at the Electronics and Telecommunications Department of the Politecnico di Torino.
